Cosy and warm in front of a crackling Unilux 3 or Eco wood fire
Bladel (NL), 03 November 2009 – Barbas will be introducing even more eco-cosiness this winter! With the launch of four new wood fires, Barbas will be providing extra warmth during the cold, dark winter months. Crawl in front of one of the new Unilux 3 or Eco series wood fires with your partner or a good book. What's more, these wood fires not only generate crackling flames and a lot of heat, they are also environmentally friendly. Their advanced combustion systems achieve efficiencies of 78%. In conjunction with their extremely low emission levels, these wood fires fit perfectly into the natural wood-burning cycle.
Unilux 3 wood fires – one model, two sizes
The entire, new Unilux 3 line consists of two compact recessed wood fires – the Unilux 3 40 and 55. These two wood fires are identical in appearance, but differ in size. The Unilux 3 40 measures 400 x 550 mm (w x h) and the Unilux 3 55 measures 540 x 660 mm (w x h). Both wood fires are frameless and can be installed flush with the wall. This allows for a magnificent, smooth finish. It is also possible to fit three- or four-sided frames to give wood fires a contemporary look that matches the interior design. Frames are also suitable for integrated models mounted into uneven walls, e.g. brick walls.
Unilux 3 series wood fires are fitted with a large door with a large glass surface that provides a perfect view of the fire. They also require a minimal installation depth. This makes them ideal for situations where depth is at a premium. Wood fires can be installed in any newly built premises.
Despite their compact size, Unilux 3 series wood fires generate more than enough heat. The Unilux 3 heats the surrounding room perfectly and provides the ultimate in cosiness for the cold winter months.
Eco series: square, freestanding fires
The new freestanding Eco series wood fires are an eye catcher in any setting. Instead of traditional round or oval-shaped freestanding fires, the Eco 40 and the Eco 55 have a square appearance. The models in the series are also identical in appearance, but differ in size. The Eco 40 has an extremely slimline appearance, whereas the Eco 55 looks a little wider. The fires are fitted with a top and rear flue attachment. This allows the Eco 40 and 55 to be fitted optimally into any existing situation and to be placed virtually anywhere.
Both appliances can be fitted with a metallic or soapstone mantle coating. A unique property of soapstone is that it retains heat very effectively. This ensures that heat energy is stored rapidly and dissipated gradually and evenly. After extinguishing the fire, it continues to dissipate heat for up to two to three hours.
As well as providing more than enough heat and cosiness, Eco series fires are also environmentally friendly. A reassuring thought while snuggled up in front of your fire.
